Terms of Service — NameSignal

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Marco Polo Research Lab LLC, a California limited liability company ("MPR Lab", "Company", "we", "our", "us"), for access to and use of NameSignal (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Account Use

• You must be legally able to enter into contracts to use the Service.
• If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.
• You are responsible for maintaining access to the Google account used for authentication and for activity under your account.

2. Service Description

NameSignal provides tools for candidate-name generation and automated screening against configured sources such as domain, trademark, company, and web-search checks. Features, sources, and pricing or credit behavior may change over time.

3. No Legal Advice

NameSignal is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Use of the Service does not create an attorney-client, fiduciary, or advisory relationship.

You remain responsible for trademark clearance, use-in-commerce decisions, ownership decisions, filing strategy, and legal review. If you file a trademark application, you are responsible for ensuring that the filing identifies the correct owner of the mark.

The Service's automated trademark screen is limited to current federal USPTO records. It does not comprehensively cover common-law rights or all state-only registrations.

4. Acceptable Use

• Use the Service only for lawful business or research purposes.
• Comply with applicable third-party terms and source-site rules when using the Service.
• Do not attempt to interfere with service availability, security, or other users.
• Do not upload or transmit malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, or abuse automation limits.

5. Your Content and Search Requests

You retain rights to the business descriptions and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

You are responsible for confirming that any filing, usage, or downstream reliance on a generated name is appropriate for your situation. Privacy and data-handling details are in the Privacy Policy.

6. Credits, Notifications, and Third-Party Services

Credit packs are one-time purchases. The checkout shows the credit amount and price before payment. Paddle is the merchant of record. RevenueCat connects checkout to your NameSignal account. Credits appear after the Service confirms the purchase and credit grant.

Refund requests follow Paddle's refund policy and applicable consumer rights. Request payment support or a refund at Paddle buyer support. For product problems, contact support@mprlab.com.

Certain actions may consume credits as shown in-product. If you enable completion emails, the Service may send result notifications to your authenticated email address.

The Service depends on third-party systems such as Google or TAuth authentication, llm-proxy infrastructure, credits or ledger infrastructure, notification or email providers, and networked search or crawling services. We are not responsible for downtime or actions of those third parties beyond our contractual obligations.

7. Availability and Changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including to improve security, comply with legal obligations, or maintain platform integrity.

We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version with a new effective date. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.

8. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, or misuse the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service software, design, and related materials are proprietary to Marco Polo Research Lab LLC and its licensors, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Search outputs are informational and may be affected by source-site behavior, network conditions, model outputs, and configured settings.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marco Polo Research Lab LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill arising from use of the Service.
